We at euglena Co., Ltd. have been working hard on environmental and health issues through business using Euglenia microalgae.
While discussing the future of the Earth with children, we noticed that our current management team was lacking something.
It seemed strange that the people who would be living in the future were not actually participating in any of our discussions in which we were making decisions about the future.
This is when we decided to create the Chief Future Officer (CFO) position for youth under 18 years old.
The duties of the CFO involve all aspects regarding changing the company and the future.
Profile: Kyoko is a second-year high-school student who lives in Tokyo. She returned to Japan after living overseas and is now a member of the basketball club at her school.
She was the first runner-up in a contest at the Nougeikagaku Meeting for High-School Students.
She has also published an opinion piece in the academic journal ATOMOΣ.
She has been involved in other volunteer activities and has experience as the Vice-Chairman of her school’s Sports Festival Executive Committee as well.
As the first CFO and a member of euglena Co., Ltd., I plan to put all my effort into tackling pressing issues using the experience I have gained in the past toward future activities.
I also hope to grow as a person through this invaluable role as the CFO.

To change the world, I believe that all of us need to understand, consider, and above all take action.

I believe that as teenagers, we have the ability to communicate in a manner that is not one-way!

Measures to prevent global warming in the near future will be the responsibility of the people and not the government.
If a single person takes action using their own strength, no matter how insignificant it may seem, it will lend great strength to everyone else!
Our entire lifestyle can be 100% sustainable.
We need to cooperate to create this type of future!
In Indonesia, I witnessed the current state of people who cannot live a healthy lifestyle because of the poor environment. In particular, I came to see that not being able to maintain oral hygiene caused various types of illnesses.
I want to reduce these illnesses caused by poor oral conditions by even just a little and contribute to “making people and the Earth healthy”!
By 2030, when we start working as part of society, how can we achieve a sustainable society? What should entrepreneurs do to solve our social issues?
I want to provide simple answers to these questions that appeal to even those who have little knowledge of social issues!
With my passion to change the future, I have joined euglena, which aims to solve the Earth’s problems using Euglena microalgae, as an under-18 member.
I want to give my energy and enthusiasm to helping people throughout the world!
I plan to use my perspective as a high school girl to protect the future Earth!
Children are the key to the world of our future.
If we do not make improvements to ensure they can receive sufficient education, we will be unable to develop the human resources required to face the numerous issues that the Earth currently has.
I want to achieve my goals through this partnership!
We need to take action on our feelings of wanting to stop global warming!
