Developed potting soil (fertilizer) using microalgae Euglena
Started test sales based on research results suggesting useful effects on plant growth

Euglena Co., Ltd.

Euglena Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, President: Mitsuru Izumo) is Kobashi Kogyo Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Okayama City, Okayama Prefecture, President: Shojiro Kobashi) and microalgae Euglena (Japanese name) : Midorimushi, hereinafter "Euglena"), has been jointly researching and developing fertilizers. Since we have confirmed the research results suggesting that the fertilizer prepared using Euglena has a useful effect on plant growth, we have developed a potting soil prepared using Euglena and put it on test sale. start.

■ Background
So far, we have focused on the biological characteristics of Euglena and verified whether the addition of Euglena can be used to promote and activate the growth of microorganisms. In particular, the nutrients contained in the soil that are necessary for growing plants have a structure that contributes to the growth of plants only when they are decomposed by microorganisms in the soil into a form that can be used by plants. In contrast to this plant growth structure, Euglena not only contains various nutrients, but also has no cell wall, so it is decomposed by microorganisms faster than other plants. The addition of Euglena is expected to have the effect of promoting and activating the growth of microorganisms. In addition, as research and development related to the growth promotion and activation of microorganisms, we have so far activated the aspergillus by adding Euglena powder to the aspergillus and feeding it, and the amount of enzyme produced by the aspergillus is improved. I am reporting that  * 1.
In addition, we participated as a member in "Development of" Agricultural Environmental Engineering System "to Realize Sustainable Sound Material-Cycle Society" in the Strategic Innovation Creation Program (SIP) of the Cabinet Office, Euglena powder. We are analyzing the impact of Wovn on soil and crops.
Based on these empirical studies, we have verified that adding Euglena to compost and potting soil may have a beneficial effect on plant growth.

Research results on compost and potting soil using Euglena

■ Research content and results
Komatsuna and mini carrots were cultivated in potting soil prepared from compost that was aged with Euglena Euglena culture soil) and culture soil Euglena As a result, in the seedling test  * 2 and the plant damage test, it was confirmed that the root length and above-ground part length (the part above the root) of Komatsuna cultivated in Euglena Figures 2 and 3). In addition, a growth test using mini carrots Euglena soil compared to the control group (Fig. 4). Furthermore, Euglena in experiments to verify the soil temperature in the step of preparing a culture soil, Euglena culture soil is raised significant soil temperature compared to verify and control group, Euglena was confirmed activation of soil microorganisms by adding ..
* 2 The seedling test is a test that is generally performed in Komatsuna to observe the growth within 3 days to 3 weeks after germination.

From the above, Euglena as impact on the compost, potting of plants using, as a result of such can be expected improvement of the root spread is obtained, since the useful effect on the growth of the plant has been suggested, Euglena test of culture soil It is now on sale.
Euglena added in the soil and the amount of antioxidants such as ergothioneine, which has an  antioxidant effect * 3 contained in the edible part of the crop, in crops grown in compost / potting soil using Euglena Is seen. In the future, we will continue to study the possibility of increasing the antioxidant mass in the edible parts of crops by using compost and potting soil using Euglena
This Euglena soil corresponds to Fertilizer (fertilizer) on the 5th floor of biomass, and we will continue to research the possibility of fertilizer together with Euglena organic liquid fertilizer  * 4.
* 3 Antioxidant action is to reduce or eliminate harmful reactions caused by active oxygen in which a part of oxygen is changed. It is said that when active oxygen with high oxidative power acts excessively in the body to damage genes and proteins and accumulate oxidative stress, it accelerates aging and increases the risk of diseases.

It contains 59 kinds of nutrients such as min, minerals, amino acids and unsaturated fatty acids in a well-balanced manner. In addition, Yu
-Paramilon, a component peculiar to Grena and a type of β-glucan, has been studied for its functionality in recent years and is a food product.
It is expected to be used in the healthcare field such as cosmetics and cosmetics. Euglena "You in the body"
The "Glenat" series captures the facts of the interrelationships of "malnutrition," "mental and physical fatigue," and "immunity weakness," and is the basis of health.
We are focusing on the complex factors that hinder. Without being influenced by factors that hinder the foundation of health, the body's original "tsu"
By maintaining the cycle of "coming, working, and protecting" and improving it to a better state, it is not temporary but continuous.
