 Euglena Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, President: Mitsuru Izumo, hereinafter Euglena Co., Ltd.) has created a custom-made business card holder made by Motherhouse, a novelty for our company, created in collaboration with Motherhouse Co., Ltd. (hereinafter, Motherhouse). It will be distributed to company-wide members at the company-wide meeting on Monday, May 5th.
 Euglena, Inc. and the mother house, Inc., both of which expand the business of the People's Republic of Bangladesh (hereinafter Bangladesh) in the wake, through the current planning Euglena, Inc., the deeper of a management philosophy "to the health of the people and the Earth." We aim to penetrate and develop our business as a whole.

■ About Our novelty and business card holder creation
 Our company was founded in August 2005 when President Izumo visited Bangladesh when he was a student and aimed to solve food problems on the earth from the local dietary situation, and this year marks the 10th year. While strengthening inner branding for further business development in the future, the company-wide members can use it uniquely so that each and every one of us can become more aware of the realization of the management philosophy of "healthy people and the earth." I considered creating a novelty item. Then, in January of this year, we conducted a company-wide group work to consider new action guidelines and novelties, and decided to make a business card holder, which is a good item to always carry in the business scene, based on the content proposed in the group work.

■ Cooperation with Motherhouse
 In order to create novelties that are unique to our company in line with our philosophy, we will develop our business in Bangladesh as well as our company, manufacture leather bags and small leather goods at our local factory in Bangladesh, and sell them in Japan and Asia. I wanted to work with and create a novelty. Motherhouse aims to make sustainable contributions with the philosophy of "creating a world-class brand from developing countries." We were sympathized with the activities and philosophies of our company, which is implementing the "Euglena GENKI Program" (*) in Bangladesh, and decided to create a special novelty in collaboration.
* What is "Euglena GENKI Program"?
 A program that has been running since April 2014 to distribute nutritious cookies containing Euglena as lunch at a slum elementary school in Bangladesh. Every time one sponsored product is sold, 10 yen will be used for cookie distribution.

■ About the future

At our own factory in Bangladesh, about 160 production staff produce bags and accessories using special products such as jute (corchorus capsularis) and cowhide. In Nepal, the company produces stalls in its own workshop.
And in Indonesia, jewelry using wire work is being produced (scheduled to be sold at the end of October).
As of September 2015, 16 directly managed stores in Japan, 5 stores in Taiwan, and plans to open in Hong Kong from October.
