A paper on the effectiveness of paramylon, a peculiar component of the Euglena, on living organisms was published in the book "Basic Research and Applications / Utilization Trends of β-Glucan" published by CMC Publishing.

This book outlines the physiological effects of paramylon, including antitumor activity, liver protection, defecation promotion, cholesterol level reduction, and involvement in the immune response.

Two authors from the Company, including CTO Suzuki, have joined the author.

The results of joint research with Osaka Prefecture University on promoting wound healing with Paramilon film were published in the online version of the academic journal "in vivo" (USA) on July 1, 2018.
Excessive cytokines involved in the inflammatory response are known to delay wound healing, but when treated with paramylon film over the wound, cytokine production is suppressed, thus maintaining an appropriate immune response. It was suggested that this would speed up the healing of the wound. In this experiment, a film derived from paramylon created with the cooperation of KRI Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture, Representative Director: Takeshi Tahata) was used.
Going forward, we will continue to carry out research and development with the aim of utilizing the Euglena
