■ Purpose of research
  The kidneys filter blood and excrete waste products, including uremic toxins, as urine, but in patients with chronic kidney disease, kidney function is reduced to less than 60% of healthy people, and renal function is abnormal. It was suggested that paramylon intake suppresses chronic kidney disease
  Rats with chronic kidney disease were usually fed a normal diet, diets containing 5% paramylon, and for comparison, healthy rats without chronic kidney disease were usually fed. As a result, the increased excretion of urinary protein bodies * 3 due to the onset of chronic kidney disease was significantly suppressed by ingestion of paramylon (Fig. 1).
