ユーグレナクッキー生産現場立ち合いと学校訪問など
【2014年5月の活動報告】

About two months have passed since the Euglena
Currently, I am mainly engaged in monitoring work, and I visit five elementary schools to be distributed almost every day.
We check the inventory, storage status, distribution status, etc. of cookies.
I will report on the activity status in May.

1. School visit

With the official launch of the Euglena GENKI program, the number of schools and students visited has increased significantly compared to when the pilot was run, and various problems that were not initially envisioned occurred. For example, as shown in this photo, there was a problem that a mouse pierced a cardboard box containing cookies (there are many mice in Bangladesh). As a solution to ensure that cookies are delivered hygienically and eaten with peace of mind, we have decided to provide cookie storage lockers for each school.

2. Performer's dinner

At the opening ceremony of the program in April, SUROVI students performed wonderful performances such as singing and dancing. To thank the performers, we invited 20 performers and 2 SUROVI teachers to the dinner party in early May to express their gratitude.

3. Witnessing the cookie production site

4. School visit

(1) MSS
To further expand the program, we are visiting five schools run by the local NGO MSS and considering introducing it. A total of 118 students from grades 1 to 5 are studying at these five schools, and one teacher is in charge of each school. As a result of the examination, it seems that four schools can be introduced without any problems, but since the location of one school is far from the Old Dhaka district, it was decided that it would be geographically difficult to introduce the program.

(2) Ekmattra
Ekmattra is an NGO run by Japanese in Bangladesh and supports study and life as a shelter home for about 30 children without parents. As the same company from Japan, Euglena GENKI program, and this time we visited Ekmattra to interact with children.

(3) Etim Khana
I visited Etim Khana, who runs a shelter home for children without parents, because they wanted to participate in the project. The number of students was about 200 and they were of various ages. Etim Khana is close to the school in the Baunniyabad district of SUROVI, which currently offers cookies, and is easy to implement, so we plan to consider implementing it at that school.

Thank you for your continued support.
