1.First of all
Thank you for your continued support of the Euglena
From this month, we started distributing cookies to 4 new schools (total number of students: about 2,200). A total of 38 schools are eligible for the GENKI program, and the number of students is about 12,000.
2. About blood test
The subjects were three schools, and about 310 children were subjected to the second blood test. The purpose of this test is to investigate how the nutritional status of Bangladeshi children was affected after ingesting Euglena cookie (cookie Euglena People living in Bangladesh's slums had no experience with blood tests, so both parents and children seemed uneasy at first, but they explained the safety and were able to complete it safely.
In Bangladesh, it is mandatory to specify the blood type on the junior high school entrance examination application, so we received a request from our parents and started a new blood type test from this time. After the test, I provided my blood type card and was pleased by the school and my parents. It was a plus alpha effect that helped me in this way.
To make the test effective, it is important to compare the nutritional status of children who eat and do not eat cookies. We presented a stationery set to the children of the Dhaka Ideal Cadet School who cooperated in the blood test in a group that did not eat cookies this time (Photo 2). It seems that the children were particularly pleased with the set of math tools such as protractors.

3. Preparation for the year-end exam
Bangladesh will have an important year-end promotion exam next month. The children of the GENKI program school started preparing for the exam this month, and even after returning home from school, they are studying hard. Rasel, a third grader at Aparajeo Pallabi Education Center School, is desperately studying for the exam for about four hours every day because she fails the exam. During November, everyone is busy studying for exams and has little time to play. When the staff visited the school, Russell was studying hard with a cookie in his hand. We were able to confirm that the cookies we distribute help to nourish and energize children and create an environment where they can concentrate on studying for exams.

4. Farewell party held
At the end of the semester, a farewell party called a "class party" will be held at the school. Children decorate the classroom with colorful balloons and handmade ornaments and celebrate with cakes. The teachers and children get excited by dancing and singing songs.
The staff was also able to participate in the farewell party held at Monipuri BDP Primary School on November 28th. The children wore gorgeous and colorful clothes and enjoyed a special party (Photo 5). It was the first time for the staff to participate, but I was able to have a good time with the children.

5. Start of project "ULKA"
Photo-7: Glitter pen and jute coverIntroducing a new project with Ekmattra, an NGO that distributes cookies together in the GENKI program. The project "ULKA" is a project launched by Euglena Co., Ltd. and NGO Ekmattra, which supports street children in Bangladesh. "ULKA" means "shooting star" in Bengali. Currently, on the Euglena Farm site, you can purchase a limited number of glitter pens made with Bangladeshi women and children under the project "ULKA". For details, please refer to the URL below.

6. Summary
In December, the school opening days are limited due to the year-end exam and then the winter vacation, but we will continue to distribute cookies firmly to achieve our goals. We look forward to your continued support and cooperation.
