【2014年8月の活動報告】

Euglena GENKI program was launched, and six new schools have begun distributing cookies containing Euglena Below is a report on the activity status in August.

1.First of all

The GENKI program has been working with five schools operated by SUROVI, but from August, we will start distributing Euglena bottom. These three NGOs have long been very interested in our GENKI program and have requested to participate in this program, which led to the expansion of this GENKI program.


2. Start the program with OBAT Helpers

OBAT Helpers is a US-based NGO that supports Biharis (minority refugees who became stateless at the time of their independence from Pakistan) in Bangladesh. We agreed to implement the program for 6th-8th grade students of GENEVA Camp supported by OBAT Helpers, and on August 10th, we held a signing ceremony for the GENKI program contract with the officers of OBAT Helpers. Students who will distribute Euglena cookies in the future also participated in the ceremony. Immediately after the ceremony, we distributed cookies and thanked all the students.

3. Start the program with MSS

MSS is an NGO that supports children living in slums in Dhaka, offering microfinance, education and health programs to improve their living environment. A total of about 130 students from low-income families in the slums attend the four schools operated by MSS, and this time we have decided to start offering Euglena..

The signing ceremony for the program contract took place on August 14th. We also held a program launch ceremony on August 24, starting to distribute our cookies, and MSS also provided all students with one bottle of safe water to drink. The start of the GENKI program at MSS was published in two local national newspapers (New Age and The News Today).

4. Start of program with Ekmattra

Ekmattra is an NGO founded by Daiki Watanabe and Bangladeshi people in 2004, and provides a blue sky classroom and shelter home (communal living place) for 32 children without parents in Dhaka city. As a Japanese company, we decided to distribute Euglena containing cookies with the desire to support children together with Japanese people who are active locally. On the day when the cookies are distributed, the children of Ekmattra are very happy to eat the cookies, and we would like to continue to spread the face of such joy.

5. Summary

Since August 2014, the number of cookie distribution schools has increased to 11, and the number of target students has reached approximately 2,600. We will continue to expand the activities of the Euglena GENKI program and continue to promote activities so Euglena We appreciate your cooperation.
