1. Participation of new sponsoring partner companies

The GENKI program is sponsored by Euglena Co., Ltd. and all Euglena Group companies, and a portion of the sales purchased is used as sponsorship money. Outside of the company, as partner companies of the GENKI program, Antenna Co., Ltd., Socié World Co., Ltd., and Marusan Health Service Co., Ltd. will participate in the sale of products bearing the program logo, with a sponsorship fee of 10 yen per item. We have you contribute. From June 2020, Kashiwagikouki Co., Ltd. and BIC Holdings Co., Ltd. will join as partner companies.
Kashiwagikouki Co., Ltd. has a history of more than 100 years (founded in 1916) and is a company that sells machine tools, construction machinery, and construction tools wholesale. Originally, the company sold salt candy for salt supplements to people working at construction sites, but the idea of a product developer who wanted to add nutrition to salt candy was the idea of "Ishigakijima Euglena salt" containing Euglena. "Ame" was launched in May 2020 as the company's original product. Mr. Kashiwara, Executive Officer and General Manager of Sales Management Department of the company, said, "I knew from the Internet that Euglena is making efforts to contribute to improving the nutrition of children in Bangladesh. With the sale of this new product, the program We immediately decided to sponsor the event. " At the same time, the company started wholesale sales of Euglena products, and they are strongly enthusiastic about improving nutrition for children in Bangladesh.
BIC Holdings Co., Ltd. is a company that aims to innovate the beauty industry with the corporate philosophy of "a society where you can be beautiful forever. A world where you can keep smiling and healthy." In October 2017, the company jointly developed the healthcare brand "GREEN POT" with us, and started selling "GREEN POT KEY SUPPLI (90 tablets)" as the first product at beauty salons nationwide. Did. This time, we had you select this product as a target product for this program. Mr. Nakajima, who is in charge of planning and operation of "GREEN POT KEY SUPPLI", said, "The beginning of this product development was for a beautician who is busy every day and tends to have irregular eating habits and lifestyles. After hearing the episode in Bangladesh, I definitely wanted to participate in the GENKI program. Many people all over Japan said, "I want you to be healthy and beautiful, and live a lively life with a smile !!" and "Children in Bangladesh." I want to make a smile on my face !! ”I put both of these feelings into this GREEN POT.”
This brings the total number of sponsoring partner companies to five. Recognizing that each of our partner companies is responsible for their own thoughts, we will continue to make various efforts to improve the nutrition of children in Bangladesh.

2. Follow-up: Food support in Bangladesh under the spread of coronavirus infection

Euglena cookies to slum residents who are suffering from food shortages and soaring prices due to lockdown, last month's report reported on the distribution activities for the first 200,000 meals. We have finished distributing the remaining 200,000 meals as planned, so we would like to report below.
The distribution target area is the slum area of Dhaka, which is different from the first time, and we selected three areas: Mohammadpur, Chadoudan, and Mirpur. The distribution method is the same, a list of 6,667 people to be distributed was created in advance, and with the cooperation of 6 GENKI program target schools in the target area as distribution bases, all from June 27 to July 5 Has completed. In Bangladesh, there were 3,000 to 4,000 new cases of new coronavirus infection every day during the distribution period. Volunteers worked hard to deliver each and every one of them in a dense slum, as squalls sometimes fall above 30 ° C every day in the rainy season. There are 23 schools subject to the GENKI program in all areas targeted for distribution, including the previous one, and approximately 7,800 students live there. Principal Sultana of the GENKI program target school "OBAT Elementary School" thanked Grameen Euglena from the bottom of his heart, saying, "It was a great support this time as the severe situation continued due to the new coronavirus infection." I did. The total number of local people involved in the distribution of cookies and the cooperation system have reached 340. We believe that this is one of the results of the relationship of trust that we and Grameen Euglena have cultivated over many years with volunteers in the schools and regions targeted for the GENKI program since the start of the GENKI program in April 2014.
Thank you for your continued support.
